What do I bring to my fitting?

Bring any foundation garments / shapewear you may wear with your dress. And, bring the shoes you will wear with your dress. These items are very important to have at each fitting appointment because they dramatically impact the fit and look of your dress.

What does an appointment look like?

At your initial appointment, we will talk about your vision for your day. Then you’ll change into your gown and we’ll begin the process of tailoring it to fit your figure.  Bridal and more complex gowns typically require 3-4 fittings. How much does it cost?

Bridal

  • Alterations for bridal and most pageant gowns start at $250.00 depending on what is needed.
  • A typical cost for basic 2-3 layer hems, taking in sides and adding bra cups is around $600.00.  The average bridal alteration cost is $750.00.
  • Other services such as customizations, complicated hems or bodice structures, embellishments, and a greater complexity of alterations are an additional cost.

The Process

  • After the initial fitting, a price range estimate for the alteration options discussed will be provided and a contract presented for services to be rendered.
  • As the alteration process and subsequent fittings proceed, if changes are proposed that will increase the final cost beyond the estimate, the client will be informed; and if approved, an addendum made to the contract for the changes.
  • For work to start, a deposit is due upfront, with pre-arranged payments to be made at each fitting, and the final balance being due at the time the garment is picked up or delivered.
  • All major credit and debit cards as well as cash are accepted.
